I am a pioneer of Portland, Oregon who came here in 1971 with nine siblings, and mom and dad. I went to Jefferson High School and have employment history spanning seventy-two jobs throughout the city. I also attended Portland Community College, where I obtained my GED. I worked at the NW Marine and Cascade General shipyards as a Fire Watch for ten years. I spent twenty-five years in construction helping to build max tracks along the Rose Garden Arena, extending the Lewis and Clark bridge, and building Mt. St. Helens' Road. Before coming to work with the ReBuilding Center, I cashiered at Big City Small World Produce for six years. I've been at the ReBuilding Center 10 plus years and I still love it here! My entire family has always been a source of support in the community. Our family church, Portland Miracle Revival, hosts three annual back-to-school events, gathering tablets, books, pencils, backpacks, and coats. We provide Thanksgiving dinner for the homeless and supply toys for needy kids at Christmas. Over 1000 families are served per year. This is just a small glimpse to the life of Ella Rose Kelly!
