Mike grew up covered in oil and snow as a New England machinist. He still maintains a love for building things - continuing to do so as a hands-on education advocate, and for organizations as a management consultant. Recent projects program and grant writing for reproductive rights, founding a business incubator with Intel, and facilitating a global competition to build unmanned drones for policing rhino poachers. In a prior life, he spent a decade engaging hundreds of staff and thousands of volunteers in our political process.
Mike has a passion for organizations that engage people in inspiring and teach each other. He managed ADX Portland (one of the earliest maker-spaces in the country), and and now continues this work as a hands-on STEM educator and part of the ReBuilding Center board.
