Come work on your carpentry projects in our Education Shop during Open Shop hours! You will have access to our tools and space for a 3-hour shift. A Shop Steward will be on hand to answer questions, but the work is all yours.

You are welcome to attend Open Shop if you have either taken one of our Intro to Carpentry classes or have experience and familiarity with shop tools and safety protocols. Maker & Community Members receive complimentary access, in addition to store & classes discounts, free delivery & pick-up, and other ReBuilding Center perks.

Materials and fasteners (screws, nails, etc.) are not included in the price of Open Shop.

• Various screwdriver bits, including philips, star (T20 & T25), pozi, and flat 

• Orbital sanders

• General shop tools such as speed squares, measuring tapes, etc. 

• We have dust collection in the workshop space and a downdraft table for sanding, though attendees are encouraged to use masks to prevent breathing sawdust. Safety glasses are required and hearing protection is recommended.

*The jointer, planer, and table saw is only available for use with permission by shop steward.
