Serving boards are useful and can be beautiful works of art, and making one is a great way to learn some basic carpentry skills. In this class you will use reclaimed hardwood to make a simple serving board from solid reclaimed wood and hardware. In the process you will learn how to use many tools, including a chop saw, planer and orbital sander.
This is a project-based class and you'll be able to take your serving board home! You can give it as a gift or use it to enjoy charcuterie for years to come!

Sanding techniques
Finishing with food-grade oil
Using Drills and drivers to attach handles
Countersinking Screws
Skill level: Beginners are welcome, though ideally you have some basic experience on a chop saw or have taken a previous class with us. For ages 18+ as well as 16 and 17 year-olds with parent or guardian permission.
Class Schedule: Class will run for 3 hours each day with no break planned

$150- Pay-It-Forward Ticket: Helps fund access for others.
$120 - True Cost Ticket: Covers the actual cost of running the class.
$90- Neighborly Rate Ticket: For those with limited expendable income.
$60 - Low-Barrier Access Ticket: For those facing financial hardship.
