Spread the love
A Community Storytelling Series
Repair is an act of love.
Reuse is an act of care.
Community makes it all possible.
This February, ReBuilding Center invites you to Spread the Love by sharing the real stories behind repair and creative reuse—projects you’re proud of, skills you’ve learned, and the confidence that came from trying something new.
This series centers your experiences. Together, they show what’s possible when people have access to materials, knowledge, and community support.
Check out our ReUse Gallery!
Built with salvaged materials from ReBuilding Center, Second World is a volunteer-led kiosk that transforms reuse into community. What might have been waste instead became a shared neighborhood space—proof that creativity, care, and reclaimed materials can come together to build connection and belonging.
Through years of thoughtful renovation using materials from ReBuilding Center, this community member has turned salvaged fixtures into a restored home—showing how reuse, creativity, and care come together to make spaces that are both sustainable and lived-in with love.
After years of taking classes at ReBuilding Center, this community member built this from scratch—powered by new skills, a great instructor, and a community that believes in sharing tools, knowledge, and possibility.
Show Us What You’ve Made
Have you:
Fixed something instead of replacing it?
Taken a class and learned a new skill?
Built or created something using reused materials?
Your story could be the spark that helps someone else believe they can do it too.
