Exciting news, Rebuilders! Our ReBuilding Center Membership just got a whole lot more awesome!
Why so much more awesome?
Starting today, becoming a ReBuilding Center Member means that not only do you get a bunch of cool new ReBuilding Center benefits like merch, discounts, sales, classes, delivery, access to our Open Shop (depending on your membership level, of course), and the opportunity to win some awesome prizes (scroll down!), you get to support housing justice through the newest aspect of our Membership program: Community Membership, supported by members like you!
What is Community Membership?
When we were building our list of awesome new membership benefits, we recognized that benefits like discounts, free classes, free delivery, and access to Open Shop are things that people with low incomes could really use, but the paid nature of membership programs excludes them. Beginning this fall, we’re launching the ReBuilding Center Community Membership, a free ReBuilding Center membership that provides these benefits free of charge to homeowners and renters who are living with low incomes. If you are interested in becoming a Community Member, keep a look out for details later this year.
How can you support our Community Members?
By becoming a ReBuilding Center member! As a paying member, you will support the launch and long-term sustainability of our Community Membership program. And you get all the sweet Member benefits outlined on our Membership page – it’s a win-win-win! Members supporting members!
When will the new paid membership program launch?
Now! It’s already in place, ready for you to join.
What if I don’t need benefits or I live outside of the Portland area?
We would love for you to become a sustaining donor! Your gift will help us remove barriers to reuse and repair for all.
What’s this about prizes?
If you join as a Maker Member (starting at $100/month) by October 31, 2022, you will be eligible to win a $2,500 gift certificate to Minam River Lodge (ooh, so fancy and private!), a $100 gift certificate to Wildfang, or a $100 gift certificate to The Meadow.
If you join as a Joiner Member (starting at $5/month) by October 31, 2022, you will be eligible to win an upgrade to a $1,200 Maker Membership (and all those great benefits!), a $135 gift certificate for a class at ReBuilding Center, or a $100 gift card to the ReBuilding Center store.
What if I’m already a ReBuilding Center member?
First, thank you for being awesome! Your membership will transfer to the nearest comparable level in the new membership program. We’ll be emailing you to confirm your benefits shortly.
