Join Dykes With Drills at The Rebuilding Center for this fun beginner workshop and learn to make a cool serving tray perfect for entertaining! In this workshop, participants will learn to safely use the chopsaw, drill press, and brad nail guns to make their own serving tray. Participants will also learn about “finishing” techniques (sanding, staining, painting, polyurethane, etc.) to personalize their tray but finishing will be done on your own time.
This is a project-based class where you learn and leave with your new piece of custom furniture! No prior woodworking experience required.
Topics covered:
Measuring & marking accurately
Using chop saws safely
Drills and drivers
Brad nail guns
Skill level: This class is ideal for beginners ages 18 and over.
Class Schedule: Class will run for 3 hours with no break planned
Price: We have moved to a sliding scale pricing model while funding allows! Choose which tier fits your situation best:
$150 - Pay-It-Forward Ticket: Helps fund access for others.
$120 - True Cost Ticket: Covers the actual cost of running the class.
$90 - Neighborly Rate Ticket: For those with limited expendable income.
