sustainable woodworking: Blanket Ladder

Transform reclaimed wood into your own custom piece of decorative furniture while learning safe and effective tool and building skills. Display your throws and blankets on a rustic blanket ladder to keep your cozy supplies stylish and accessible. Learn how to use a pocket hole jig to create strong joining of two pieces of wood, which is a technique transferrable to many other projects. You won’t pack away the skills you learn for the winter, you can use them all year long!

This is a project-based class. Come with a basic idea and leave with your new piece of custom furniture!

  • Measuring & marking accurately 

  • Using chop saws safely

  • Making angled cuts

  • Using a Pocket Hole/Kreg Jig

  • Using Drills and attaching fasteners

  • Using Orbital Sanders

Skill level: This class is ideal for beginners ages 18 and over as well as 16 and 17 year-olds with parent or guardian permission

Class Schedule: Class will run for 3 hours with no break planned
