Renter Repairs
When you’re a renter, sometimes it can be a real hassle to get minor repairs taken care of in your apartment or rental house. It can also be difficult to decorate, weatherize, or make any changes because you don’t want to jeopardize your security deposit.
In this class you will learn a whole toolkit’s worth of inexpensive, cosmetic, and/or reversible repairs that can help you feel more comfortable and safe in your home.
This is a skills-based class where you will learn how to use tools but you will not make a project to take home.
Homeowners are welcome too!
Topics covered:
Walls: using safe anchors to hang things, and patching minor holes
Plumbing: unclogging drains, fixing leaky faucets
Weatherizing: sealing leaky doors and windows
Basic appliance maintenance
