Whether you're a homeowner, renter, or remodeler, come learn some great DIY ins-and-outs that will add skills to your tool belt, save water, and save you money! 

Water-saving kits for each student are generously provided by the Portland Water Bureau

This is a skills-based class where you will learn how to use tools and make repairs, but you will not build a project to take home.

Topics covered:

  • Understanding your water meter

  • Identifying and fixing common leaks

  • How to use several water conservation devices

  • Bathroom faucets and supply lines

  • Simple ways to clear drain clogs

  • How to change a showerhead

  • Toilet basics (for more in-depth info on toilets, check out our Toilet Repair and Replacement class)

  • How to take advantage of rebates and incentives from Portland Water Bureau

Skill level: This class is ideal for beginners ages 18 and over as well as 16 and 17 year-olds with parent or guardian permission

Class Schedule: Class will run for 2.5 hours with no break planned
